Fighters Put Their Bodies On The Line For Fans And A Paycheck

    By Jack Smith | March 9, 2010

I have a couple of pictures I decided to share with everyone. These photos show how brutal the sport of mixed martial arts can be, so if you are the squeamish type you may want to avoid this article. These photos show how much a fighter is willing to put their bodies through to earn a paycheck and make mixed martial arts fans happy.

The image used above is a photo of Brian Bowles hand after his fight at WEC 47. He broke his hand that’s is the reason why he could not continue the fight. (Bowles continued to fight after he knew he had hurt his hand.)

Now this next image is a photo of Miguel Torres’ forehead after his fight at WEC 47. (Torres continued fighting after his forehead was split open. Before he was submitted with a guillotine Choke.)

These fighters helped put on an exciting show at WEC 47 and them continuing the fight even after being injured shows their dedication to mixed martial arts fans and their determination to finish a fight.

So these fighters put their bodies on the line for the fans and a paycheck(many other fighters do this as well). So this is just an example of what mixed martial arts fighters are willing to do out of respect for their opponent, the sport and for the fans.
